Hello:
I am brand new to freelancer.com, so I thought I would write a few words to introduce myself and my credentials. I have been working as a freelance writer for several years, specializing in copy, content, creative writing, speech writing, and business writing; however, much of my experience has been as a certified paralegal/legal writer.
A variety of well-known law firms in Colorado and California hire me to work for them to write patents, voluminous appeal briefs, and evidence motions they don't want to expend the time gathering research for themselves. The lawyers I've worked with repeatedly over the years, like to say that they request me, "when they want to produce a document a judge may actually read or remember".
I enjoy the challenge of working as a writer -- the clients and subject matter are often new, and easy to be genuinely enthusiastic about. I'm extremely detail oriented and have an uncommon commitment to my work product. I have always ended up as the "Difficult Client Girl", because I tend to find it easy to communicate with all kinds of people. I've often been told that I belong in sales, because I accidentally bring clients into these firms, insisting I'm not a salesman. My education is in English, Poetry, Business, and Art, and I have many letters of reference, should you wish to have a look.
I appreciate your consideration.
Thank you, and best regards,
JILL RUSIN
