MS Access database to look up patients & dr visits and to run reports

MS Access database to look up patients & dr visits and to run reports. I am having some database files created that I would like to turn into an MS Access database. The files will be imported only once. Once the data is inside, the database will be used to look up patients and their visit details and to run reports on the data. Nothing will ever be written back to the database. I'm including the specifications of the two files that will be imported. I will do the import myself once the project is finished because this is confidential data. For project development we can use play data. There will be a lot of records so the database will need to be split into two pieces to accommodate. On an Access 2010 database (.accdb), the file size limit is 2GB with an unlimited number of records. I don't have the database files yet but I think there will be a little more than 1,000,000 records so it would be wise to plan for two database files (one main database with a secondary database file linked to it in the background.). I only want one interface however with the linking to the secondary database transparent to the user. Details about the reports will follow in the next day. They are simple reports.
