ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION Wildlife Rescue Australia (WRA) is a not-for-profit, voluntary association operating throughout Australia and staffed exclusively by home-based volunteers. It is dedicated to the rescue of native animals and operates a national 24/7 emergency call centre for thIS purpose. ABOUT THE PROJECT To facilitate finding rescuers, carers etc, WRA utilises inhouse software ("MapMaker") which generates a Google-type map for each call received (see Fig. 1). MapMaker is based on a FileMaker Pro (version 19.2.2) database. A balloon for a marker on the map (Fig. 1) contains a phone number which can be clicked to ring the person or organistion. This is achieved by simply clicking on the phone number. When clicked, a third-party softphone is used to ring the required contact (see Fig. 2). Unfortunately, proprietary softphones contain many more "bells and whistles" than required, evidently cannot provide the desired feedback to MapMaker and are proving to be excessively costly. It is therefore required that MapMaker be modified to avoid the need for a third-party softphone. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS When a phone number is clicked in MapMaker, it is required that the following parameters be made available to MapMaker: 1 .call outcome ([login to view URL] phone number is answered, busy/engaged, cancelled by operator or terminated by person called etc) 2 .call duration Notes: 1 . These parameters are not currently transferrable from the softphone to MapMaker 2 . MapMaker already logs such parameters as phone number called, date and time of call etc. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS It is a requirement that the freelancer: 1 . reside or be based in Australia; 2 . be readily contactable by phone; and 3 . have proven experience with both FileMaker Pro databases and softphone software A screensharing demonstration of the current system can be provided.
