Flex version 4.6 Need to better understand the structure being proposed to propose a solution. My main experience is working with Flex in the presentation layer. Java in the business layer. As I understand the goal is to have a desktop application in Flex using Adobe AIR. We currently work with a structure that makes GET requests in flex for a java layer and the return is always in XML format. From what has been described, I would do so would create a lib, swc, which will be incorporated into all flex projects of the company. This lib contain all the business logic for transferring information between the flex layer and another layer of business or database, which could be Java or ActionScript to access the database. It will also create components that convert SQL queries directly in XML structures, including SQL queries that are converted into "Beans". Even the "Beans" have utility libraries to be converted to XML. I am available.
