Dear 3D Designer, we are a small company who run the BMW World Lifestyle Shop in Munich. There we have a crystal engraving laser machine. Therefore we need 3D models of the actual BMW Cars. Based on the 3D models we can create a socalled pointcloud, which can be lasered into a glass crystal. The requirements are a bit different to the common 3D Renderings or models for 3D Print or Animation. All Information you can find in the briefing attached. We are looking for 2-3 3D designers for a longer term cooperation. First step are about 20 actual BMW car models, next steps will be historical cars, motorcycles or airplanes. This project is one first small testproject for the BMW Z4 Roadster E89. It is mandatory that the model ist he actual version, also E89. For any questions you can contact me. Dort haben wir eine Glaslaserinnengravurmaschine. Für diese Gravur benötigen wir 3D Modelle der aktuellen BMW Fahrzeuge als Basis für die Erstellung einer Punktewolke, die anschließend in Glasquader gelasert wird. Die Anforderungen an das 3D Modell sind deshalb etwas andere als an übliche Auto 3D Renderings oder 3D Modelle für den Druck. Alle Infos dazu im Briefing. Wir suchen nach 2-3 3D Designer für eine längere Zusammenarbeit, zunächst geht es um 20 BMW Modelle, später folgen historische Fahrzeuge, Motorräder oder Flugzeuge. Diese Projekt ist ein erstes Testprojekt für ein 1 Modell – BMW Z4 Roadster E89. Es ist unbedingt erforderlich, dass es die aktuelle Baureihe ist, also E89. Hi, I am currently working as a 3D artist in an architecture studio. I have a lot of experience in product design, 3D modelling, texturing, rendering as well as post production. I do most of my modelling in Rhino and my rendering in 3Ds Max but I can do model in 3Ds max just as well. Please check my portfolio for references and proof of my skills I have previously modeled a car but it was not finished due to the fact that I used it as an learning exercise. I can start working as soon as you award me the project. Hi, I have read through your project, as well as the accompanying document and am very interested in it. I am a highly experienced 3d modeller, having spent extensive time modelling for both 3d animations in the vfx world and cad modelling for product design and development. In both these disciplines I have modelled vehicles and really enjoy it, being an avid car fan myself. I understand the requirements you have, and how they differ from both traditional poly and nurbs modelling, and in the past have had exposure to the laser glass crystal products you are looking to produce. Coming from an engineering background, I always model highly accurate with attention to details and precision, so am confident you will get models that are perfect for your application.
