Estimated I need to know the utility that will give the .stp file. Because it is a schematic solid and does not represent a real distribution of mass and inertia of the entire device. The .stp file with modifications can be used for load analysis only and not for electrical or thermal analysis. If you wish, I can remake an approximate model taking into account the different materials used in this type of machine to reach the weight of 24 kg and thus obtain a more realistic model. Estimated: The manufacturer provides a solid 3D model for general use in 3D assemblies. 1st problem: The motor is completely solid modeled since generally only the external shape is relevant (the real motor has interior empty spaces and also different materials with different densities (different weights). 2nd problem: The material of the model is a generic material that is assigned a generic density of 1 g / cm3 when in reality the average density should be close to 7.8 g / cm3. To make the engine weigh what the manufacturer says you have to do: 24 divided by 7.6 = 3.16 and put this value in the density of the material assigned to the model. Greetings Gustavo Colin

If I understand your question correctly, then you can just ignore what the CAD software gives you and override the mass of your motor. Re-check from the motor manufacturer that the Motor CAD Model isn't flawed (I got this issue once with HIWIN and MCMaster)
