Tri-generation system. This system produces: 1) electricity 2) heating 3) cooling The system to be MODELLED ON ASPEN HYSYS has 4 components: Components 1) Fuel cell 2) Organic Rankine Cycle 3) Heated Water Tank 4) Absorption Chiller Cycle The system operates in the following way: The system is operated as follows:  The waste heat from the SOFC is used to heat the organic fluid in the ORC.  A portion of the waste heat from ORC used to produce steam in the heating process, heated water tank  Another portion of the heat from the OCR is used to produce cooling using a single-effect absorption chiller Tasks 1) This whole energy system has to be modelled on Aspen HYSYS software - The file I am sending you has the Fuel Cell and The Organic Rankine Cycle Drawn (But no calculations have been done and the inputs haven’t been put in). Data has to be inputted into everything and calculations have to be done. The software does the calculations for you so you only need to worry about the inputs. 2) The Absorption Chiller Cycle chiller has to be modelled on aspen hysys. Here is a website which might help you do this. [login to view URL] The working fluid inside the ORC is toluene You can chose the streams for the Absorption Chiller Cycle. Previous people have used ammonia which is a good option. I have attached a SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM of my energy system. Only the orange Part of the Schematic has to be drawn…the rest I have already drawn. The following questions have to be answered: 1) Power output from fuel cell and engine efficiency 2) Power output from Organic Rankine Cycle and efficiency 3) Power output from absorption chiller cycle and efficiency 4) Total power output from the energy system
