Hello fellow freelancers! We are compiling Spanish short stories to help readers learn more about regional slang and culture. Whichever Spanish-speaking country you are from, if you could bring out the flavor of your country through simple words, we'd like to have you on the team! We like to have fun and we are passionate about what we do, but we also thrive on outstanding quality and appropriate deadlines. If you think this is your kind of team, we look forward to reading your proposal. Project: One-time Budget: CAD 22 per story Word Count: ~1000 per story Topic(s): (This is up for discussion prior to work commencement. You are the local expert, and we'd love to hear your ideas!) Along with your bid proposal, please include your answers to the following questions: 1. Would you be able to bring out the flavor of your country in simple Spanish (we are NOT looking for flowery language)? 2. How passionate are you about sharing your country's culture and slang? 3. How familiar are you with your country's language and slang? Have you lived there your whole life? 4. How long would it take you to complete a 1000-word story? Hello! I can't help but to be attracted to this job. I'm anative Spanish, born (and where I live at the moment) In Barcelona. I'm a culture lover, and mine it's not an excpetion. I love to explain to my friends (foreign ones) all about our culture, slang, and I'm kind of a tourist guide for them. I'm editing the bid with the following point you added: 1. Yes, completly, I love lenguage in all ways and I'm capable of doing that. 2. I'm a culture geek and my friend's tourist guide, I'm always showing them our slang, history and stories overall. 3. I'm just complety familiar, I've lived here the 20 years of my life. 4.I'm confident that I would be able to wirte something like that in 2 days more less, even in one day if its required. 5. Plus I love writing and has been always one of my skills (I won some awards on my school/city when I was younger). I'm confident in my writing skills, my organitzation and my working skills, and I believe I would genuinly enjoy a lot working here and would be invested on this! Hope to hear from you soon! ¡Hola! I am Marta, a linguist and philologist, and I love writing. I am from Spain, and, especifically, from Andalucia, one of most famous regions in the country. We have an extraordinary traditional history and folklore. We also have a special dialect, which the rest of the country usually mocks, but we are so proud of it! I could express all these characteristics in my stories, such as the special words, our culture, our personality, our tradition... or even our parodies! Regarding the questions: 1. Yes, I would be able to use the simplest Spanish I can (with the Andalucian flavour!) 2. I love my country and Andalucian traditions! As I said, we all are proud of it, no matter how others can think about us! 3. I was born here and I have spent all my life enjoying our fantastic hot climate, for instance :) 4. I think 4 days is perfectly okay as a deadline. Maybe even 3! Thank you in advance :)

Hi! My name is Abril and I'm really interested in your project! I'm from Argentina and I love to write. I really love my country, and I want to represent it through my words, I have kind of a simple (sometimes, when I'm inspired, could be a little.. decorated, but I will keep it the way the assignament requires) style, and I like magic realism. I'm really passionate, I have lived here all my life, I know, mostly, teenager slang, and the common slang that all of us use and say. We have a very diverse slang and culture depending on the province, I was born in Chaco (and know some words they use there as well), but currently I'm in the south, where I have lived since I was a child, the slang and accent of us us similar to the one they have in the capital, Buenos Aires. The culture is also different in the north and south because of the climatic differences, per example, the people in the north start the day super early, sleep an almost obligatory nap (because of the heat) and keep going, while in the south we start later, but don't sleep in the afternoon, because mornings are really cold. Anyways, you can see I really love my culture, Haha. I can do it in 4 days. Hope we can speak about it! I would love to know more about the project, it seems really interesting. :)

Hi, I love your project and I think I can help! My mother tongue is Spanish, I have lived in Peru m whole life. I have a professional degree in translation (specialized in writing) with more than 15 years of experience. I have also a second career: tourism. So, I am passionate about sharing my culture in different ways, mainly through my native language, which flavours the trip experience. I used to be a foreign language teacher as well, so I know how to address specific audiences/readers. I have recently been doing some copywriting and ghostwriting, and I would be pleased to be part of this project. I think I fulfill the requirements, including deadlines. How familiar are you with your country's language and slang? Have you lived there your whole life? I'm very familiar as I have lived all my life (30 years) in my country. In addition, Colombia has slangs according the region. So I'm able to talk about a couple of these regions. 4. How long would it take you to complete a 1000-word story?
