Hello,
I am a native English speaker with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from UNSW (Australia) and LL.M. in German Law from Humboldt University. I speak fluent German, having studied law in the German language.
I have worked in law firms in Sydney, Tokyo and most recently in Berlin, where I was asked to translate and proofread a number of legal documents, as well as doing freelance translation work (German>English). I therefore consider myself qualified to translate German documents into English. I also have plenty of academic proofreading experience. I have most recently edited a PhD thesis on immigration law, and in the past I have also worked for faculty academics at the University of New South Wales editing journal articles for publication in law journals. As such, I have an excellent level of English, attention to detail, and a flair with words, and my English translations reflect this.
I would be happy to provide my CV for your perusal, and am at your disposal for further questions.
Kind regards,
Claire Macdonald
